Dr. Cilliers Marais
MBChB
Dr. Cilliers Marais has been performing circumcisions since 1990 and has done over 3000 circumcisions to date.
Dr. Marais was born in Namibia. He moved to Cape Town, South Africa, with his family in 1967. Dr. Marais qualified as a medical doctor at the University of Stellenbosch in 1984.
He worked as a family doctor in South Africa until 1993, when he moved to Yorkton, Saskatchewan with his family. From 1993 - 1998 he continued to practice there until finally settling in Maple Ridge in 1998.
Dr. Marais has continued to have a busy family practice in the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows community ever since. In addition to family medicine, Dr. Marais has a special interest in obstetrics, paediatrics and minor procedures, including infant circumcisions
He is licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC and follows Canadian medical guidelines.
Dr. Shahzeb Khan
MBBS, MRCGP, CCFP
Dr. Shahzeb Khan is a family physician with
UK training and extensive experience in family practice and newborn care.
He is licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC is and adheres to CPSBC guidelines.
Dr. Khan completed his MBBS at CMH Lahore, in 2016, with clinical electives in Surgery at the University of Oxford, UK. He went on to gain experience in Vascular Surgery and Urology at Northwick Park Hospital in London before completing his Family Medicine training in the Northwest of England. During his years as a family doctor in the UK, he was consistently rated highly for the outstanding care he provided to patients at all stages of life. In 2024, he moved to British Columbia and has been practising in Maple Ridge ever since.
In addition to family medicine, his expertise includes infant circumcision and minor surgery. As a father to a young boy, Dr. Khan is empathetic, approachable, and exceptionally skilled at caring for his little patients, while remaining committed to delivering top-notch medical care to the entire community.
